I’m not sure how I missed out on this excellent news, but the Library of Congress Subject Heading “cookery” has been replaced with “cooking”, see details here.
Looking around (twitter, the new time waster) there seems to be some discussion of the impact of tagging on subject headings- what do think about this? Is the general public bringing currency to subject headings?
